Our Story
Hyde Park Environmental Services, Inc. (HPES) was started in 1990 by Owner Wendell Doke. HPES has been in business over 23 years and has developed cost saving methods utilizing our trained, productive staff, crew and equipment for performing any task.
Mr. Doke started HPES as a painting company in 1990 and in 1998 expanded into environmental remediation, self-performing Asbestos Abatement, Lead Mitigation and Mold Remediation as well as interior demolition and specialty demolition work. HPES has grown into one of the best abatement firms in the Chicagoland region, with an excellent reputation among its clients, architects, consultants and regulatory agencies who often recommend HPES. HPES is now expanding its capabilities again by purchasing a local small environmental construction company, Matrix Environmental, Inc. Matrix specialized in environmental remediation, site work, earthwork & excavation, dredging and ecological restoration for Federal and Private clients.
